Live Video Inspection: live ultra low latency video from drone, hand-held and underwater cameras.
Emerald Cube has developed it’s own hardware and video to web platform that makes us unique in being able to offer true live video feed from virtually any inspection camera. Unlike most common video platforms where ‘live’ can mean anything up to 30 seconds of delay, our system is typically less than 1 second, enabling remote viewers to direct the camera operator.
While there are obvious applications for defence and emergency services, live video offers many possibilities to commercial companies, saving substantial time and travel costs by reducing ‘staff on site’ requirements.
Example of Live Video application - Network operator has detected a drop in signal levels on a particular sector. With a rapid response LVI (Live Video Inspection) service from emerald Cube, engineers at control centre can get a real time view of the tower and then direct LVI operator to focus on detailed areas with the aim of identifying any physical damage.

Mobile phone mast inspection – remote based engineer directs LVI operator to zoom in so that integrity of connector insulation can be checked.
Live Video Inspection is frequently used by defence and emergency services for situational awareness which enhances the command & control process to ensure best possible outcomes.
With Emerald Cube’s Live Video Inspection services this capability can be used for commercial applications with the aim of running safer and more efficient operations.
